Salmon Run, Alaska
Every year from June to September, salmon make their journey upstream to reach their spawning grounds. During this time, grizzly bears congregate to feast on them. This event, known as the salmon run, provides amazing opportunities to witness this spectacle firsthand, up close and personal.
Volunteers Retreat
The Volunteers Retreat organized by Human Appeal offers new volunteers an excellent opportunity to bond with one another. Through team exercises and sports activities, participants can forge initial connections that will prove beneficial for future events.
OSAA Championships
An athletes participate in the 4A Girls High Jump, the 5A Girls Javelin and the 6A Boys Shot Put at the OSAA Track and Field State Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Science March Eugene
Several hundred people protest the Trump administration’s proposed cuts to scientific research as well as the Environmental Protection Agency. Speakers at the rally included Congressman Peter DeFazio as well as other members of the scientific community. “We cannot let them continue to deny the science and the proof that we are destroying our planet - there is no plan B for us,” said DeFazio. “We have to save our planet.”
Eugene Color Vibe Run
Several hundred people participate in the Color Vibe 5K fun run at Valley River Center Saturday morning. The fun run raised money for Alzheimer’s research. Chris Martinez was the first male to finish and Allyssa Burkett finished first in the women’s division.
